Focus of the Program
The Production and Operations Management program prepares engineers to analyze, understand and manage the operations function of a manufacturing or service organization especially in a global context. The primarily technical subjects in operations research will provide the background in order to select appropriate models and rationally assess the decision-making process. This is built on the latest knowledge in production technology and systems, industrial and virtual engineering as well as logistics and supply chain management.
The program conveys:
- analytical thinking, problem solving and communication skills as the key methods for success
- planning and control of operations systems
- methods of project management
- human resource management
Objective
