During the modules the HECTOR School arranges different kinds of social events for its students. One of these social events is the so called fireside chat. HECTOR School therefore invites speakers from industrial enterprises to present and discuss an up-to-date topic with the students.
The fireside chats take place in a more casual environment and offers the students a fantastic chance to get in contact with well-known industry representatives.

In the Engineering Module 2 of HECTOR School Intake 2011 it was a great pleasure to welcome Dr. Carla Seidel as fireside speaker. Dr. Seidel is Vice President Energy from the chemical company BASF. The evening's topic was the future of battery technologies. Dr. Seidel introduced some new ideas that BASF is currently working on. She also discussed with the students strategies for new production plants and the advantages of new battery technologies. Especially for the students from "Energy Engineering and Management" and "Green Mobility Engineering" this topic was from great interest.
