The HECTOR School of Engineering and Management

The HECTOR School of Engineering and Management is the Technology Business School of the worldwide known Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).The HECTOR School was founded in 2005 and is named after Dr. h. c. Hans-Werner Hector, the co-founder of the SAP software company.

The HECTOR School concept and the related master programs were designed in close cooperation with the industry board of the International Department. This cooperation contributed significantly to the five advanced part-time master programs offered by the HECTOR School in 2005. In 2010/2011, these master programs were complemented by two additional programs accounting for current developments in society and technology: Green Mobility Engineering and Energy Engineering & Management.

The master programs are tailored to the needs of the employees of expanding companies facing the challenges of competition and globalization. The ability to ensure that businesses are cutting-edge and capable of rapidly adapting their processes is the most crucial challenge faced by companies today and the responsibility of their well-trained professionals. In order to be a successful manager in this environment, it is essential to possess a profound understanding of technological intricacies and their implementation within complex organizations as well as a deep economic awareness of interdependencies in distributed networks. The corresponding professional and methodological training is covered by the innovative advanced education programs for professionals of the HECTOR School of Engineering and Management.

But don't take our word for it, rather read what some of our alumni have to say about their respective programs.
